Canadian Kintsugi

This vessel was shattered before unboxed.  Left in pieces on a shelf for later repair.  Picked over by curious, little hands.  Chunks stolen and used as skipping stones and hopscotch markers.

Eventually slapped together with duct tape.  Serving whatever it “should” hold.  Often dropped as its contents seeped through the cracks.  Only to be stuck back together.  Buried under sticky gray armour.

Once again, on the floor.  No semblance of its original form.  A heap of adhesive coated chunks and shards.  Hoping this time for some gold…
